Eczema Skin Care - Cleanser

I'm sexy & I know it.
Tergugat Neelofa dengan keseksian anak mak nih. Tak koser tau ;p

My girl really enjoy her bath time. Pantang ajak mandi ;p

Some said daily bathing will help moisturising the skin. We tried it before. It works! Previously Nuha mandi 3x sehari. Now, since eczema dah ok, just mandi 2x. Don't make the water too warm because it will dries out skin faster than lukewarm water. Suam-suam kuku or suam-suam ketiak. Hahaha ;D

Choosing the right cleanser for Nuha is one of my concern. I pick the one contains mild soap. Babies with eczema need extremely gentle cleansing & deep moisturisation. A good cleanser act to cleanse sore, irritated and prevent babies skin become itchy, dry, flakes & flare-up.

Check the label / ingredient before you purchase the products. Organic products maybe the best option, but sometimes if your baby's skin getting worse, go for another option - chemical products. Use under medical supervision of course.

After mandi, I pat the excess water from her skin with towel. Tak perlu rub because we want the skin maintain the moist. Then terus apply moisturiser (lotion) to your child's skin. Alhamdullilah, by doing this method I can see the improvement on Nuha's skin. Makin lama makin gebu. Ececeh ;)

Here's a few cleansers which Nuha used previously. My personal favourite is Buds Everyday Head to Toe Cleanser sebab bau best! Cleanser yang paling serasi & berkesan for Nuha is Ezerra. Now her skin dah ok, so we change to Sebamed sebab murah sikit. Hehehe ;) Others brand like Moogo, Cetaphil, Eucerin & so on we never tried on.

Tips for mommies, buy the smallest cleanser packaging for trial. Some product may good for others but not guarantee works for your baby, so kena try & error. Give a try for 1week, if it doesn't show good result, switch for another.

Eczema – Foods to Avoid

For eczemas, there are plenty type of foods that can lead the rashes become worst. Istilah bahasa, Pemangkin. Bila makan saja, ruam jadi merah menyala, gatal merenyam satu badan. As a parent, it’s a heartbreak situation for us when your love one is in uncomfortable condition like this. Hati manyak sedih ma =(

Since Nuha still breastfeed, so I pun kena berpantang makan jugak. Sometimes, I terbabas & langgar pantang. Heeee… sorry Nuha. Nanti ayah babab mama tu. Orang dah cakap jangan, tapi dia dogil. Hehehe.

Based on my case study, I categorise the foods into 3level, severe, moderate & mild.

Severe – most worst impact, ruam merah menyala, gatal yang amat. If I take the food, confirm Nuha menggaru non stop. Kesian dia.
Moderate – ruam pink kaler, gatal sikit-sikit
Mild – almost takde ruam, gatal main-main je...heheee

Selama I buat experiment ni Nuha la bahan ujikajinya. Ngehehe ^.^ If I’m doing a thesis, title of the case study will be something like this – Tahap kesan pengambilan makanan alergik terhadap bayi Eczema. Excuse me of verangan jadi Paediatrician tak bertauliah di sini. hehehe =p

Ok. Here goes the list:

1. Dairy Products eg:- Milk, Chocolate, Butter, Cookies, Yogurt – Severe.
2. Meat – Severe
3. Seafood (All kind of seafood) – Severe.
4. Ikan Bilis / Ikan yang boleh menyebabkan gatal eg:- Ikan kembung – Severe
5. Peanut (Kacang Tanah) - Severe
6. Egg – Moderate, play safe – telur ayam kampong, insyallah no harm effect
7. Nuts & Beans eg:- Almond, Hazelnut, Green Pea – Moderate
8. Chicken – Moderate – again, choose ayam organic or ayam kampong.
9. Cabbage - Moderate
10. Soy – Mild
11. Wheat – Mild
12. Sweet Corn – Mild
13. Tomato – Mild
14. Onion – Mild
15. Spices – Mild
16. Fruits (Buah yang ada bulu eg:- Kiwi) – Mild

If there any foods I miss out here please let me know mommies… Kot-kot la ada benda yang selama ni I belasah je makan, rupanya trigger food for eczemas… oh..Noooooo >0

Kata case study… so kena la ada gambaq kan. Haa, ni dia.

Severe case

Moderate case

Mild case

Disclaimer: I’m not a cruel mother who wants her baby suffer. I only try these foods once. Like this month I try, the result tak ok, then 2months later I give another try. The reason I did it? I want to know either Nuha still allergic to that food or not. I didn’t introduce Nuha direct with the food. Normally I myself eat the food & the result will show 12hours after consuming the food (thru breastmilk). Sekian, terima kasih =)
